Our beautiful and brave son, Chinmay, left us at the young age of 8 years. He suffered from cancer for five and a half years. He endured years of chemotherapy, whole-body radiation, and bone marrow transplant. His cancer came back three times. When his cancer was coming back for the last time, he wanted to walk 5.5 miles. He still managed to walk 5.5 kilometers. Every year on his heavenly birthday, accompanied by our friends, family, and colleagues, we walk 5.5 miles to reflect on our warrior son’s beautiful life.
